Hello, everyone! I want to start this post by thanking everyone for their comments, e-mails, and social media shares! I was surprised that so many people came by my little corner of the internet to read my little thoughts. My abortion post was very popular and I thank God he led me to talk on the subject. Thank you once again! This week I’m talking about something many people trying to follow Christ may benefit from, looking and acting like a Child of God.
Have you ever been trying to talk to someone about God and hear the statement “Christians are just hypocrites”? People that are outside looking in on a Christian’s life may see the flaws we, as all people, have. It can be confusing for someone that is trying to draw closer to God, to see people that say they are of God swearing, lying, dressing inappropriately, listening to music that doesn’t worship God, and acting immorally. It doesn’t show the love of the Lord, and how he transforms our lives. So, what is acceptable for a follower of Christ?
I want to stress that good works will not get you to heaven. Neither will going to church every Sunday.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2;8 KJV
You can’t work your way to heaven, it is only by God’s good and perfect gift of salvation that we may go. We must have faith in God and we must have his grace.
“But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved” Acts 15;11 KJV
By grace we are saved.

What is the point of exasperating ourselves with doing good works, if they don't get us anywhere? God’s word tells us:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”1John 1;7 KJV
Once he has taken His abode inside us, to make us whole and clean by his grace, He helps us to walk in the light, His light, so that we may reap the blessings from doing so. By focusing on Christ with everything we do, say, read, go and listen to, we are honoring Him.
If you ever wonder if something is pleasing to God, open up your Bible read and pray. He wants to lead us on His path but we must keep our eyes and hearts open to His love and guidance.

He has given us such a lovely world and an amazing salvation, how can we not worship him every moment of every day? He doesn't expect us to be on our knees all the time, he has given us a life to live. But, our life belongs to Him, so we must behave as such. Think of Him before you speak, before you turn on your radio, and when you turn on the tv and you will reap such beautiful blessings.
Have a wonderful weekend!
